The art of procrastination by blogging instead of doing my homework. I'm so done with school at this very moment and I know I'm going to have a mental breakdown before finals week and then I just won't give a boooooooboooooo. Le sigh...

Anyways, so I guess you would say I had a fruitful weekend last week. I hadn't stayed out late since spring break. Y LYF SO BORING? I got to do May Ling's makeup for prom! WHAAAAAAT? Yeah, I did her makeup, and damn straight she looked fabulous. So grown up now, I feel old almost. I remember when I first met her, she was what... in like 5th grade?! HAHAHA, I'm no pedo, we had Chinese school together. But damn, did we all grow up that fast? The bitch is like almost 18 years old! I miss prom... lol

Anyways, after I finished up with May Ling's makeup and hair I was on my way. I went to go meet up my friend for dinner. We went to Osha Thai which had a nice ambiance wow factor. The place was really trendy and HUGE, split between two large happy hour and dinner dining rooms. They also have annoyingly pretty and cute hostesses... the waitresses, uhm... not so much... LOL We were seated quickly though the place was busy and bustling with chatter and people. My friend ordered the tuna tower appetizer. Verdict: meh, okay to me since I don't really like uncooked fish? but the crackers that were served with it tasted pretty good. I went safe with pad thai for an entree and my friend got the volcano beef entree. Volcano beef was pretty damn good. Slightly spicy but the little spicy seeds are easy to get rid of. Pad thai... I didn't expect it to be amazing, probably because I've eaten pad thai for 3 years my mouth is numb to amazing pad thai.

After dinner I hung out with Justingoh, Jonathan, Amy, Joseph and Briangoh. We went to the pool hall to shoot some pool, definitely not my night to play, haha. Joseph kept making fun of me. :( After pool it was around 1am so we went to go eat dessert, I was pretty sleepy, so when I get sleepy, I'm too lazy to decide what to get and I get the sundae waffles (must be the 100th time I got the sundae waffles).

I went to the Cherry Blossom festival again the next day after feeding Joseph's bearded dragon with Amylatte and Justingoh. Took damn long to feed that princess! But the poor thing must have been really uncomfortable with three people watching it. Finally after Ebi was done eating, we headed to Jonathan's house and got him to go to Cherry Blossom. Looked around again and bought a tank top, that's mad g! LOL.

Okay, I think that's it, life has been pretty boring now. I miss Taiwan a lot and the night markets there. Le sigh.

May Ling

In her dress. So pretty, I want to cry almost.

May Ling's friends

Tuna tower

Volcano beef, I should've eaten the onion rings, lol.

Rahhh, pad thai

Cute girl looking at a cute shirt

HEHE, cute right?

Gangsta bitch, she kind of looks like Demi Lovato no?

Someone is spoiling me, D:

So my uncle came back from New York and got me this shirt from Uniqlo. There's some huge phenomenon with Monster Hunters, apparently its a game that's really popular in Japan?

From my knowledge, there's only one Uniqlo in America that's stationed in New York? They may have opened new stores as of late, but I'm not sure. There was always a Uniqlo in China just around the block. :)

Cherry Blossom and hot pot

Yay! It was finally the weekend after a long brutal week of school. I saw Benny and Giang after school so we went to go eat at the local burger restaurant. No, not Mickey D's. Gross.

I got to catch up with Benny finally after 2 years. We talked randomly and when we got to the restaurant I got to catch up with Giang. Definitely not a bad time with these two. Giang is too funny, I think he should just drop out of school, and be a comedian (forget the History major, Giang!). I got a vanilla milkshake and a 49er burger. Benny got a sandwich and Giang got a Mexican burger. As soon as I got my burger and tried to put the avocado on the burger, it slid off my plate and onto the floor. So much for an avocado and bacon burger. :( Caught up with the two of them since I haven't sat down with them for about 2 years plus. Benny invited me to this thing that happens every Friday night, good food but expensive. (Not going to name it cus everyone is going to go and make it even more crowded, heh.) After lunch I headed home and tried to do some homework. Benny said he'd come over at 6 or 7pm but it ended up to be around 5:30pm. We headed to the secret place and waited for Keean and Josh. I haven't seen these two in about two years as well, nice to catch up with them.

After we ate some snackage, it was time for the dessert. We all stood in line for the super long line for Creme Brulee. Josh and I got vanilla bean, Benny and Keean got the strawberry and balsamic. Tasted very good, definitely coming back next time. After the snackage, Josh was still hungry so we went to eat at the local late night dessert shop. We got to the dessert shop and waited for Marcella to join us. I ordered a 龟苓膏 (guilinggao). It tasted good, but a little bitter, Idk if it's really supposed to taste like that. Keean and Mars got a mango pudding. Going to try that next time. I think Josh got noodles and I'm not sure what Benny got. After we all caught up a little we headed home.

I woke up early because I had to go bai shan for Qing Ming Festival. We go to the cemetery to burn "paper money" and wish them well and to protect us and so on. After bai shan we went to yum cha. Tried many delicious foods at dim sum, other than the usual that I usually order. After yum cha I went home to get my phone and called Benny so we could head to the Cherry Blossom festival. I looked around for food to eat. The had teriburgers and nachos, lumpia, okonomiyaki, shaved ice and takoyaki. I still don't understand why takoyaki is so appealing to people. Squid balls with stuff on it. What's so good? I don't and will never understand. Benny and I walked around looking for food. I settled for a okonomiyaki and saw my old badminton coach, I wanted shaved ice but... the kids seemed to be too enthusiastic so I left lolllllll. We walked around the trinkets/clothes booths and I got 2 t shirts for $20. I contemplated getting some takoyaki but the line was just too long. After looking around some more and seeing creepy old men dancing and clapping by themselves, we left.

I had a hot pot dinner to get to that night at Jon's house. I got to Jon's house and I met them at the market instead of his house. When we got to Jon's house we just sat there for a while and Justin was supposed to cut Jon's hair. So we waited until Jon was mentally prepared for his hair to be cut. Time for the buzzing! I helped him clean up the back, so pro! Just kidding. Justin should quit school and major in hair dressing. After we were done cutting Jon's hair I swept up the nasty hair. Jon took a shower and people finally started coming over. Jon's grandma helped us prepare all the veggies and meats. Time to hot pot!!! I have a small appetite so I got full pretty fast. Shrimp, noodles, baby bok choy and beef slices with my garlic sauce! YUMMY.

I sat down and played with Jon's iTouch for a while. Everyone started to get full so we all chilled out. Bonnie and Amy washed the dishes why I was playing Sims 3. I sat behind Amy while she washed the dishes and she turned around and said, "I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE BEHIND ME! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SOMETHING, I COULD HAVE TALKED TO YOU." LOL, I swear I thought she knew I was behind her. This happened a second time as well, when she was doing something in the sink. After a while we took out a cake and the ice cream that Jon and I bought from Ranch 99. Green tea and mango ice cream ftw! After we ate the cake and ice cream everyone chilled and played a bit of mahjong. After mahjong, Amy, Anita, Ann, Bonnie and I just sat and talked. After a while people just started leaving.

Felt a little bored after people left and so Jonathan showed us Starship Troopers, which was pretty cool actually though the beginning is a bit confusing. We didn't finish it but it got late and we were all very sleepy. Can't wait to finish the rest of Starship Troopers.

How come so true?

Idk if this was edible but I kept it. I forget which dish this was from. Yum cha!

Spring break is over

Amazingly, I had an eventful spring break. I was really skeptical how my spring break would turn out, probably was going to be boring and all, but it wasn't! WHEE.

Totally wish my spring break was a bit longer. :( School sucks!

On Monday, I originally planned on going shopping with Amylatte, but Joseph picked us up, so we went to go change his tires and ate ramen for lunch. After eating ramen, we dropped Amylatte off at work and headed to change the tires. A billiard hall was near by so we dropped off his car and walked to the pool hall. I won the first game by default. Cannot beat Joseph at pool lah~! So he kept making me re-rack to break because I kept losing. After pool we went to pick up the car and I drove to the mall. I bought a new necklace and Joseph being the spontaneous person he is said he wanted to buy a coffee machine. So we headed down to Macy's housewares and bought a little coffee machine. After purchasing the coffee machine, I drove to Safeway so Joseph could buy his coffee filters and ground coffee. He found a pack of Godiva ground coffee and went with that. OMG $10!!! for a pack of Godiva coffee. So expensive man... I guess more worth it anyways. Starbucks charges (let's round up) $5 a cup, $5 a day, in 2 days you already spend $10. The $10 can be used to buy a pack of ground coffee, then can make you many cups. Okay lah...

I didn't do anything on Tuesday but work. BLEH

On Wednesday, I went to work and Amylatte and Joseph surprised me at work. They waited until after I got off, so we went to a dessert shop. I hadn't had an dinner yet so Joseph told me to order some soy sauce noodles, that I really don't have a liking for. Also saw my old high school friends. And my friend from way back in elementary school. Ama, maybe you guys know her from youtube. :) UGH, the noodles again. I totally remember eating these every weekend. It's okay, I hadn't had them in a while so I ate them like they tasted super good. Justin met us up after and Joseph walked the wrong way to his car so we drove him a block away to his car.

On Thursday, I hung out with Lawrence just to talk. We ate at an authentic/genuine Japanese restaurant like old times. We talked a lot that day since we hadn't had time to catch up lately. We went to a chill place, and it was a nice day to just sit and talk. After we talked, we went to the mall and I was looking for a present for Regina since it was her birthday. I didn't find anything, but you'll get your present soon Regina!!! We met up Regina at a Mediterranean restaurant for dinner. Regina, Jenny, Jonathan, Lawrence and I. I thought the food was really good. The appetizer shrimp was good, although I'm not a fan of shrimp. I got a stuffed eggplant entree with feta cheese, yummy.

On Friday, I had suggested about a week prior that we should go to Boiling Crab. This place is extremely hyped up, I have no idea why. I finally went to Boiling Crab with Amylatte, Justin and Joseph. Beautiful weather for Boiling Crab as well. In the car ride, Justin kept tailgating us so Joseph told me to write a sign and let them see it. HAHAHA. Amylatte told me that about 15 minutes away from getting to Boiling Crab, Jonathan called and asked us to turn around and pick him up. We originally invited him with us but he had work. :( We finally arrived at Boiling Crab and it wasn't packed like I thought it would be. The restaurant was pretty small as well. The host told us it'd be about 15-20 minutes so we went to Target to look at stuff before it was time to go. We got back to Boiling Crab at about 5pm and then we were seated. I ordered a Dungeoness crab with garlic butter in mild, Amylatte had a Dungeoness crab with rajun cajun in mild, Justin got the lobster with the whole shabang in medium, and Joseph got raw oysters. We all got the chicken wing appetizer and the calamari. Calamari was good, but I really liked the chicken wings. SO YUMMY. But probably only because I LOVE chicken wings. I was reluctant to try Joseph's raw oysters because I read the disclaimer about how it may cause severe illness (OH NOES), but I went ahead and tried it anyways. Squeezed some lemon and that sauce that came with it on my raw oyster and ate it. It was good to be honest (hoping I don't die soon). After eating our appetizers, our real food came out. We got 3 big bags of food. 2 crabs and 1 lobster. My bag was dripping with hot garlic butter and it smelled so good. I dove in quickly ripping off some legs for Joseph to try. Justin didn't know how to eat his lobster so he went beast and started nomming straight off the lobster. Justin gave me some of his lobster to try and I started coughing from it because it was so spicy. Pretty good but I felt like my big just grew 10 inches from the spiciness. Needless to say it was one big mess for us. The guys in the booth next to us were really classy with it, no big mess like we had, all clean. But what's the fun without the mess?! I finally finished all the legs and I ripped open the hull of the crab... I think I touched its brains and it felt... WEIRD. Justin helped me clean off the brain juice that tainted the rest of the good crab meat. Honestly, I like Joe'se Crab Shack better because I feel like they give you more stuff and it's more worth it. But I'd definitely come back to Boiling Crab just for the drive and etc. After we ate we wanted to find something else to do in the city. Karaoke please! So we found a karaoke place to sing at but the place was so damn expensive! URGH. So we headed back home and went to karaoke there instead. Joseph's friend also joined us for karaoke. We got back home and went into sing, the machine kept freaking breaking on us like a billion times and we had to keep asking the woman to come help us fix it. Never getting that room again to sing. I sang my Whitney Houston "I Will Always Love You" song and Joseph kept wanting me to sing louder, so when it hit the super long "And I........................................................................................................................................................." I sang it and everyone applauded me, KAKAKAKAKA, man it was too funny. Justin asked me for my autograph. *__* so special. LOLOLOLOLOL. Got home around like 2am and knocked out.

On Saturday, my mom woke me up and asked me if I wanted to go yum cha because my sister was treating out Godmother out to lunch. Basically it was the whole family. Godmother came really late so they didn't even get to eat any of it. My sister asked if I wanted to go outlet shopping, obviously I said yes! So after yum cha, we left for outlet shopping and out Godmother came with. Sister, Mom, Godmother and I. TEEHEE. Hit up Gucci store first. SUCKED, why? cus the styles were ugly. :( and only had a couple of cute decent Gucci styles. I should have bought the scarf, UGH. The stores there were okay but the prices didn't seem that much different for ugly styles. I got a pair of sandals from Charlotte Russe and a jacket from Levi's. Not much customer service at these outlet shops either. BOOO. On my way to the outlets, Amylatte called me and asked me if I wanted to hang out. I said okay, but when I get back home from outlet shopping. I only bought two things that day, so it was kept short. Sister dropped off our Godmother at home and we went back home. I met up Amylatte around 10pm and we went to eat crepes, after eating crepes we walked to the billiards hall to shoot some pool. We changed our minds quickly after using their bathroom and then we just went to eat dessert. We chatted like always and ate our fried chicken wings and waffle fries, teehee. Justin picked us up after and I went home.

So, my spring break was pretty eventful. I was trying my best to surround myself with my friends and it worked out pretty well. Can't wait for summer! But I swear I gotta lay off the late night snacks, I probably gained like 10 lbs this week. :(
