Road Trip: Los Angeles part 2

ZzZzZzZzZzZzZz... So tired and I was surprised at how well I slept that night. I was really afraid that I'd be annoyed with so many guys around that will probably snore and keep me up all night. BUT THEY DIDN'T THANK YOU GAIZZZZZ. I only heard Jonathan snore, but it was really brief like two snores and he shut up. And then I heard Jenny at around 6am whispering and a bunch of bags shuffling around. I sat up on the bed and contemplated whether I should tell her to shut up or not, haha.

We all finally woke up around 8am and we had to check out in about an hour or two. All of our stuff was packed and ready to go, but not without a little lagging. We left our home for all of one night and we went to go get breakfast at Denny's. Our waitress looked annoyed and probably cus I kept asking her questions about the french toast shit. For the record, when I went to Denny's in San Diego, they were much more accommodating in what I had asked for. Everyone just knows how to say NO this and NO that now. FFUU. Anyways, got me two slices of french toast and my hash browns, you know what it isss.

We ate then we left. We parked the car back at the hotel and walked a long ass way to Magic Mountain. Security protocol and then off to the fun! First stop was X2. We waited in line for at least 2 and 1/2 to 3 and 1/2 hours for X2. There was some kind of delay so shrug. We finally inched closer and closer to the lane and bam! we're there. X2 is the one where you got like 360 degrees and backwards and all that shit. This shit was the scariest roller coaster I've ever been on, no joke. Yeah, it was pretty insane.

After X2, I think we went on Viper, which wasn't as bad. I was getting hungry from the excitement so I told the guys that I was hungry and we should eat, so we ate at Katy's Kettle. I got the chicken strips basket and all the other guys got turkey legs. Man those turkey legs were huge.

After eating we tried to go on Tatsu but they needed tickets to get in (???) After being denied entry to Tatsu we walked over to Apocalypse which took a long time to get in and by the time we got to the line, our food had already been digested.

Apocalypse tried to engage the audience with the room full of tvs and lights and etc. Pretty lame, I just wanted to go on the ride. We got to the front of the line and the stupid kids with flashback wristbands got to ride them twice. SOOO LAME, why do they even sell those things? CHEATERS!!!

After the cheaters went, we finally got on and it wasn't that bad either. I think X2 knocked everything else out of the ball park. After Apocalypse I think we went on Ninja. Ninja was pretty fun. After Ninja, Jonathan wanted to ride on Goliath, so we stood in line for about 2 hours, but the line moved quickly. Exhausted at this point and it was getting cold. We finally got on the ride and Goliath is pretty insane too. There's a 200+ foot drop then another 190 foot drop. I seriously felt like I was going to fall out of the seat. Some guy behind us grabbed onto Jonathan's shoulder, HAHAHAHAHA. Shit was crazy, yo.

So exhausted so we walked back down and went to Red Lobster for a really late dinner. Jonathan got the most expensive dinner - the Lobster Lover's Dream or something. I got a simple half portion of the crab linguini with marinara instead of the alfredo sauce. Errr, they could have made it hotter? The server said that the plate was hot but my marinara was like luke warm, ew?

My life battery for that night dropped to like 10%, don't know how I'll keep awake in the car in case Jonathan falls asleep. We hit the road after we got some gas and left. Goodbye LA, I'll see you soon. A long road ahead of us. But we kept going. The second car wasn't following us back home so we all went at our own pace. I dozed off like a billion times and I tried so hard to stay awake in the car, but it didn't work. Jonathan swerved once before we exited to make a pit stop. I was finally awake. Linda drove a little while I dozed off into a nap. I think we got lost at one point, but it wasn't like I was awake, lol. Linda gave up the wheel and Jonathan was back at it again, poor Jonathan. After a couple more hours, we made it back into the city, safe. First stop was Arthur's then Jenny, then Linda and then me. I should have treated Jon to a nice breakfast before we went home, but we were both dead tired.

I got to my house about 6am and plopped onto my bed and slept. I slept past our family's weekly lunch together but it was fine. I finally woke up around 4pm and took a shower. Glad to be back home. :)

Not many pictures since we spent the whole day at Magic Mountain and I didn't bring anything, but I have other pics. TEEHEE.

Road Trip: Los Angeles part 1

A road trip. Nine friends. Two cars. Two days. One night. One hotel.
WE GOT OURSELVES, A SITUATION.

It was a long Thursday for me. I had school, it was a full on rainstorm and I had yet to pack ANYTHING for LA. Finally got out of school and I went home to get some stuff ready to pack then I headed over to Jonathan's house to order my Magic Mountain ticket. After I ordered the ticket, I went to meet up my Amylatte.

Amylatte sweetly greeted me with a pink daisy. My favorite color... and her favorite flower. She knows just how to cheer me up. The weather was shit and so was my mood. We went over to get some tapioca drinks, yummeh. And we sat there to talk. Talk talk talk. She always lifts my spirits when needed. I'm always glad to have her around.

We went to work and I had a long night. A long and sleepless night. I got home around 11:30pm. I took a shower, I packed some stuff and I tried to sleep. I finally fell asleep around 1am or so and Jonathan finally called me around 2:30am. I got up at 3am and started getting ready. It was time. TIME FOR LA! I packed up my laptop then Jonathan finally arrived and we were on our way. We went to go pick up Linda and Jenny as well. It hit 4am, made a pit stop at Arthur's house (where Linda and Jenny were) and we were off. OFF TO LA!!! I barely slept the whole way to LA, it was pretty crazy. We made one pit stop only and kept going. Linda is a damn crazy driver for hitting triple digits on the speedometer. Jonathan finally got some shut eye in the car when he passed the car to Linda. Poor Jonathan. :(

We finally arrived at the hotel RIGHT NEXT TO Magic Mountain. We checked in and everyone piled up into the room. We all put our stuff down and some people took a shower. We got there around 10am, so we went to Ihop to eat breakfast. After breakfast we went to Walmart to get some stuff. I bought a bikini for the jacuzzi at the hotel, some graph paper, cus I need it for homework back home and some makeup. The stuff is so cheap! Before we went sightseeting, Linda took a shower, and I have concluded that Linda holds world record for taking the longest shower with no remorse. The guys took off on their own and went sightseeing. After we all took a shower, we all went sightseeing as well. I drove us to Little Tokyo and Jenny was directing me with her GPS. Missed my exits like 100 times... annoying... Finally ended up in Little Tokyo. We looked around the shops and went into Yogurtland. Why Yogurtland? Idk, I should have went into Pinkberry that was about a block away!

I looked at some of the clothes to buy. Nothing... I'm picky. Finally we ended up at Fashion district and shopped around. Most of the stores were wholesale so we kept on walking until we hit Santee Alley?, I found a pretty dress from "Kiss Fashion" and a pair of gladiator heels from some shoe store. Yay! Ready to go out tonight! The sales associate at Kiss Fashion was REALLY sweet. I saw the pretty floral print dress on the mannequin and I knew I wanted to buy it. I looked for a small but they didn't have a small on the racks, so I tried on a medium. I asked her if there was a small, she said no the only small is on the mannequin but she'll take it off the mannequin if I'm going to buy it. I said YES. She's so sweet, wish I asked for her name. Sweetest sales associate compared to what I experienced elsewhere in LA.

Everything in Santee Alley closes at around 5pm or 6pm so... I couldn't look at anything before they chased me out and said they're closing. We left Fashion District about 7pm and went to Roscoe's for dinner. Chicken and waffles, yummeh! I got a plate of rice and a leg and a thigh, yummy! Definitely coming back next time I'm in LA. After Roscoe's we walked to Walgreens, and holy shit are the blocks of LA LONGGG. We walked like probably 20 blocks total to and fro Walgreens, that's alright cus we needed the exercise from all that fried chicken. I fell asleep in the car and Jonathan kind of swerved because he was getting sleepy too. Everyone was exhausted.

Finally got back to the hotel, groggily that is. I really wanted to sleep and stay in instead of going out with Linda, Jenny and Arthur. So I stayed inside instead. I felt so out of it. I need someone to talk to. ........................... AMY! I grabbed my laptop and I got online to talk to her. I got on Skype and skyped with her so I wouldn't feel so lonely. TOK TOK TOK. Amylatte went to go shower and it was getting late. I drank a lemon tea juice box, lol and talked to Jonathan and brushed my teeth then went to bed. ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZz

Thanks Diana!

My friend Diana wanted to take me out to lunch for my birthday for a while and so we agreed on going on Saturday. Instead her sneaky ass took me to get my hair done and take me to lunch! I'm such a spoiled brat aren't I?

I met up with Diana at 10:30am and went to what was supposedly HER hair appointment with her friend Jenny. We got to the salon and Diana told me that I was first. WHAT????????? I knew she was going to do this and I prepared myself at home to see what kind of cut I would like. I went first, put down my stuff and they gave me a thin robe to wear. Jenny helped me wash my hair then took a look at it and asked what I wanted to do with my hair. I honestly told her that I hadn't cut my hair in like 2 years. (Didn't cut because I wanted it to be SUPER LONG and when I started growing out my hair it was at shoulder length.) But I told her I got a trim about last summer.

She started cutting away at the thinning ends but she also told me that I had a lot of hair dying damage and my nasty split ends started from around shoulder length. *CUT CUT CUT. It still hadn't hit me that I was getting my hair cut. *CUT CUT CUT Done with cutting, and she blew dried my hair and started styling. Needless to say my hair felt softer and was looking FABULOUS. I just wish my hair turned out that way every time I came out of the shower. Diana went to go get some pho that we could share, and I really liked the beef slices in the pho. And I'm not really a big fan of Pho. Time for Diana! Diana fixed up her bangs and trimmed about 2 inches. Diana seemed to be unphazed by the hair trimming going on. But Jenny really does listen and listens to how you want your hair done.

As for the salon, they use all organic products by Aveda. Amazing! Though the products are really pricey, I really need to get some of that damage repair cream they have. And Jenny was helpful in answering my questions, I had more questions I just forgot to ask, haha. She told me I need a moisturizing shampoo rather than one with protein, so I really should go buy a new bottle of shampoo and conditioner. So much damage... /cries. Diana and I's hair turned out fabulous after the blow and I'm definitely coming back for a deep conditioning and maybe a trim in a couple of weeks for so.

After getting our hair done, Hugo picked us up and we went to eat at Outback Steakhouse (because we wanted to go to Target! lol) We were seated pretty quickly but now, I kind of feel like the service at Outback isn't that great. Diana got like a rack of ribs and a steak and I got a bacon cheeseburger as always. MY FRIES WERE SOGGY! WHY SOGGY DAMNIT! We all sat and talked for a while and ate our food. Oh funneh funneh. I was making fun of Diana at one point while she put a piece of steak in her mouth and she started coughing and said, "stop it *cough cough, I have a big ass chunk of meat stuck in my throat." ............................................ROFLMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. After Outback, we went to Target so Diana could buy her CHI straightener and I bought some eyeliner. ^___^V After a short stop to Target we went back to the city so Diana could meet her 4pm nail appointment and I had to go to work. :( I went home to get my work shirt and Hugo and got crepes since it wasn't time for me to leave yet, we finished our crepes and made it to work alright. I had a dilemma at work because I didn't want to tie my beautiful new hair up. LOL

Diana and I and our fab hair! Tried to take a pic with Jenny, but she wouldn't let me. LOL

"What?! I wasn't even ready!"

Happy birthday again.

生日快乐 to me!
So yesterday was officially my 20th birthday. One more year, I don't know if I can wait that long...
Anyways, so instead of having a huge celebration, I visited my local museum and went to work. (I went to the museum because I'm taking a course on humanities about art and music and I need to write and art journal) First the museum... There was a paper dress exhibition that I really wanted to see so amorcito and I went to eat pho and get froyo before we went to the museum. General admission was $10, but if you have your student ID, the admission fee is only $6! I pulled out my ID and showed them, honey said he left his at home but they ending up giving us both $6 admission. It's another $2 off if you can show them you took the bus here with proof of payment for the bus or a fast pass.

We walked into the galleries and I immediately started jotting down notes for my art journal. There were a lot of things to see. I think my favorite marble sculpture was the "Columbus as a Boy" he seems to be sitting on a crest? with his legs crossed, I think I just really like the way the shoes are carved. Anyways, I mostly like looking at the paintings and skipped the sculptures altogether. We ended up going downstairs to where the paper dresses were but we had to pay extra or buy tickets for that exhibition. BOOO. I felt like I got enough material to finally write my art journal so I went home. I was greeted with a 红包 on my desk and uncle bought me a cake. My baby cousin is the one that always blows out the candles for people on their birthday... (spoiled brat, essentially means she gets like 10,000 birthdays a year) She blew out the candles and we feasted. Time for work!!! I left and I started working. Luis came to work and I was making boxes... He then tells me to go outside and get him a newspaper. I went outside and waved him down and asked him which one and he just chose a random one. I laughed at him and asked him what he was going to do with it. Funny, cus there was a satire photo of a Rene Magritte painting on the cover. I handed it to him and as I handed it over, I saw Carlos "parting the Red Sea" with a cake in his hand and a pink candle in the middle of it. I was really moved, though I didn't cry, it was really nice for Luis to put it all together. Another funny thing because I saw a pink candle on the keyboard when I came in and I laughed to myself, "huhuhuh, it's my birthday but no one knows and there's a pink candle here". Stupid ass...

A couple minutes after, Amylatte came in with a bag o' goodies. :) Luis asked me where my card was so I went to get it to let Amylatte sign it. And then I heard, "She's so happy right now, that's she crying." LOL So I went back to work. Still sweet of everyone to do that, even though I didn't want it to be a big deal.

Luis, Justin and Octavio chipped in to buy me a bottle of Remy Martin. I was like wtf? I'm not drinking tonight. LOL But I ended up drinking anyways. Ugh, it was too funny. We all clinked our glasses and 干杯ed. Then Amylatte and I left to get some dessert.

Ugh, we had such good conversation that night, and I kept wanting to talk but I had to get home. I got home around 11pm and opened my gift from her. So sweet. T___T' Literally... lol! I took a shower and by the time I went to bed it was 1am already. OMG time just flies by???

20.. 20? 20! 20.... I feel old already... Should I go buy some anti-wrinkle cream now? Le sigh...

I finally got my present from honey too. He got just what I wanted.. a light tent! TEEHEE. Happy camper.
